Dear reader,

This website originally was not meant for you at all.

It started as a way to save all the practical knowledge that comes with a lifetime of running a household. Things like sensible recipes, smart solutions, and design ideas for creating a comfortable home.

The farmhousekeeping we do here at Raaken Farm is all that and more.
Unfortunately, so much of that everyday knowledge is being lost. This website is one small way to keep it alive. Hopefully our family will use these notes one day.

In the meantime, dear reader, I hope you’ll enjoy our home, too — the recipes, the ideas, the practical solutions and the simple comforts of life on a real working horse farm.
